OVER SUBSCRIPTION CRITERIA : SEPTEMBER 2009 ENTRY
The intended number of admissions to Year 7 in September 2009 will be 120. Where the number of girls seeking admission who have attained the required standard exceeds the number of places available, the following criteria will be applied in the order in which they are set out.
1. Girls who are in Local Authority Care.
2. Girls who have a sister in the school at the time of entry.
3. Girls whose brother attends Wilmington Grammar School for Boys.
4. Girls whose assessment result places them in the top 12 selective places in mathematics.
5. Girls living nearest to the school. The distance will be measured from the school to the Girl’s home by means of a straight line on a map.
The school will establish arrangements for appeals against non-admission. Details of admissions and appeals will be made available each year.
