Oliver!
What a triumph!
Students from every year group were involved in the school production, both on stage and behind the scenes, of the musical Oliver! Directed by English teacher, Miss Katie McAllister, with musical direction by Head of Music, Mr Frank Roddy, the production brought together a great team of students and staff. The cast acted, sang and danced to the very highest standard.
Rehearsals started before Christmas for the show in March. A matinee performance for local elderly residents and then three evening performances for family and friends were enthusiastically received by all and the compliments flowed:
‘A fantastic effort from all involved.’
‘Whether girls were in the lead roles or chorus, you could see they were all enjoying themselves.’
‘What talent!’
The girls certainly showed what can be achieved with hard work and commitment and they all agreed it was a great experience – so the question everyone’s asking is, ‘What’s the next production to be?’
