What is AS/A2 SNAB?
In SNAB you study biology through real-life contexts. It uses these real life cases to study the biological principles needed to understand what has happened. It is no less rigorous than Biology, but it offers a different approach to the way the material is delivered.
How long is the course?
The full Advanced Level qualification is a two year course which consists of the AS + A2 courses.
What qualifications do I need?
Five or more GCSEs at grade C and above plus, preferably, at least grade BB in dual award science or a grade B in the biology part of above.

You will undertake the following sections of study:

A one-week residential field course (Cost approximately £200.00).

What other subjects can I study?
SNABBiology goes well with many subjects, particularly the other sciences, mathematics, geography, textiles, food and physical education. If you want to study Biology at University you must have AS Chemistry.
What career and higher education opportunities are open to me?
Opportunities for careers in Biology have never been better. Degrees could include Medicine, Dentistry, the caring professions, Genetics, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Zoology, Botany. The list is almost endless.
