(Years 7,8 and 9)
Curriculum
All pupils follow a programme of study which fulfils the requirements of the National Curriculum, and projects include the practice of painting and drawing, three dimensional studies and the use of ICT
Pupils build on their previous learning experience. The School acknowledges that drawing is fundamental to success and lies at the heart of each unit of study.
Homework helps to develop skills, techniques and understanding. It can be in the form of research (practical or theoretical), practicing elements learnt in the lesson or developing a personal project.
To fulfill the National Curriculum, every pupil has their own sketchbook so they may track their progress throughout the course.
Assessment
Pupils are encouraged to take a proactive role in their learning and their work is monitored through the School’s assessment for learning policy. They will be given a target level each term and, with guidance, devise an individual action plan.
Expectations of Pupils
The key to individual success is to:
How parents can help
