The Grammar School for Girls Wilmington

Students are actively encouraged to develop their individual talents and interests. They have many opportunities to take on leadership responsibilities and contribute to the active school council. Sport is encouraged through school sports’ teams and activities. Opportunities for Gifted and Talented students are co-ordinated through departments and membership to the NAGTY is encouraged. Extra curricular activities include: activity holidays (water sports in the South of France, and skiing); residential experiences (study tours to France and Germany); enrichment (theatre visits/workshops, challenges e.g Neighbourhood Engineers and the Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme); clubs and societies (debating, choir, three orchestras, Computer Club for Girls).
